The Norwich makes a great bunk bed, loft bed, or playhouse. You can choose between twin, or full sized bed decks. The two towers and center turret are all included. A slide and staircase can be added on.

Description

The Norwich Castle Bunk Bed is perfect for a bed, indoor playhouse or loft. With it’s classic turrets and crenelated top, if feels like the most magical castle in all the land!

The Norwich Castle Bunk Bed includes one bookcase tower with 3 to 5 adjustable shelves. On the opposite side of the bed is an octagonal tower. Two arched windows climb the tower and inside are shelves accessible from both bed decks. Sitting on top of this tower is a square turret with a window perfect for storage. Two square towers decorate the back of the bed.

Kids can enter the lower bed deck several ways. The main entrance is a wide arch between the two towers. This entrance is rimmed with faux stones, and has square molding beneath. The left side of the playhouse has a thin arched window, and the right side has a larger one. Both windows can act as entrances.

We’ve wrapped the top of each turret in crenelation, and we also put double echoed molding along the top of the center wall. Right above the arched entryway is a central turret with storage space inside. For an extra bit of style, we can add wood trim around the windows on the octagonal tower.

To reach the loft, kids climb a cubby ladder whose footholds double as windows for the lower area. It is possible for us to replace the cubby ladder with a lean-to ladder, or even wrap around stairs (paneled or spindled). We can also add a slide to the opposite side which kids reach by crossing a small bridge. We call the configuration with slide and stairs the Dartmouth.

Both the rear towers have shelves inside. There are mirroring sets of shelves in the bottom area, and in the loft area.

The Norwich Castle Bunk Bed is available with both twin and full size bed decks.

We give the standard Norwich Castle a base-painted design with three colors: one for the walls, one for the trim and crenelations, and a third for the faux stones around the entrance. We would be happy to add custom hand-painting for you in any style. You can also order this bed unpainted and paint it yourself.
