This wonderfully charming Victorian bunk bed – playhouse design is perfect for either a bedroom, or a playroom. It can work as a bunk bed, loft bed, or simply a playhouse. With it’s timeless Victorian design, this bed/playhouse will never grow old.

A winding staircase takes you up to the loft level with a matching spindled handrail along the side. The loft area pictured above fits a full size mattress, but we can easily shrink it down for a twin. We’ve built three shelves in beside the stairs, perfect for night lights and bedtime stories. On the other side is a simple slide to take you down to the floor with style.

The large octagonal tower makes a great storage space up above, and a charming reading nook down below. Both the upper and lower bay windows make great storage spaces for things your child may want to display.

The three types of windows on this design–gridded oval, open rectangle, and open arch–make this place feel like home. Special touches include the faux shingles and the corbelled soffit’s above the bay windows. The open front door leading to the loft completes the image of home.

In the lower level, beneath the slide, is one large cubby and two shelves for storage. If you need more space, you have the option of adding drawers beneath the slide, staircase, or both.

Our standard color scheme for the Victorian bunk bed is lime green with a light brown, faux shingled roof and white and pink trim. If you’d like to change any of these colors, or request custom painting, please don’t hesitate to ask.

If space is an issue for you, we can happily modify the design. We can also reverse the design, remove, and add features.
